We have already seen it many times this season. When it's not his day it's like we're playing with 10 men

No. The Parma game for example, he was having a really bad game then out of nowhere he beautifully created the second goal for sanchez. Or the bologna game where he scored.

That's how immense he is. Some people are called GOAT and don't provide anything for their team in anyway if they do not score.

Lukaku said that him and Cristiano want to play for the team, whereas Zlatan plays for himself.

This will end well

In Lukaku's case, most of the players get subbed off when they're not having a good game, while Lukaku could sit on the pitch and do nothing for 70 minutes and still play the whole game.

There is a problem in how things are handled because some of his bad performances has been written off as him being very tired yet Conte never benches him or sub him off, hell, most of the time whoever is playing alongside him is the one who gets subbed off even if they (Lautaro or Sanchez) are having a good game.

Same could be said about Barella specially in the recent games. I know he has crazy stamina but when he is obviously exhausted, there is no point in keeping him on the pitch, imo.

Conte knows better obviously but I don't think next year we can afford the team running out of steam in March/April because of the little to no turnover. we did the job early this season but it's not always going to be that easy/early.

I really think Conte is right to leave Lukaku on the pitch even when he’s having a bad game for multiple reasons. I’m sure conte appreciates Lukaku’s aerial threat and ability to defend set pieces, then theres his hold up play which lets our players kick the ball forward and relieves a bit of pressure off the defense when we’re winning. But most importantly the blistering pace and threat that none of our other forwards offer on the counter attack just look at the examples against Milan, Lazio, Parma(when he assisted sanchez), and Cagliari. I think that’s the main reason conte leaves him on. His pace on the counter is one of the main aspects of how conte wants us to play. Defend with 11 and hit the teams on the break. Even on a bad day theres always space behind for him to attack.

That being said Lukaku on a bad day offers almost nothing when teams are sitting deep which in my opinion should lead to his substitution. but if I can think of any reason why he still stays on, it has to be his presence and his ability to hold the play. Look at our crucial goals from darmian vs Cagliari and Hellas. Against Cagliari he held up the player and played a one two with Hakimi and vs Verona all the defenfers gravitated towards him. Both games Lukaku was dog shit.

Yes, it's more about the pace than the aerial threat, imo.
Despite his height and his build, he's not that much of a threat with his headers.

The way we have been hitting teams on the counter with Lukaku is probably Conte's wet dream though, Parolo and Romagnoli come to mind. Because of that, no team in Italy can afford to team press us because they know one misplaced touch and they will have Lukaku, Lautaro, Hakimi and Barella running at their defence.

In Europe, it hasn't worked that well, unfortunately.

Will never forget what he did his first couple of games for us Inter supporters. He has been all in since the moment he joined us.

Will surely join LGI easily.

Lukaku names his favourite Inter players

Romelu Lukaku says he always wanted to play for Inter and names his favourite players in the Nerazzurri's history.

I’ve always wanted to play for Inter. I am incredibly proud to wear this shirt. It’s something great. I am an interista,” the 27-year-old said in an interview published on Inter’s match programme ahead of this evening’s clash against Roma.

“I’ve always known I would have had a special relationship with Antonio Conte. When I joined Inter, I texted him saying: ‘I am arriving.’"

The former Manchester United man picked his best goal with Inter so far.
“The one I scored against Milan, there are all my characteristics there. The run, the power, and the precision. And it has a profound meaning for me and our season,” the forward said.

“We won the title because of our exceptional team spirit,” he continued.
“I live for my family and to make other people happy. The joy of Inter fans is also mine.”

Last but not least, Lukaku named his favourite Inter players of all time.
“Julio Cesar was extraordinary, with excellent technical skills and great charisma. Then Maicon had speed and technique.
“As for Adriano, I know all his goals by heart. Eto’s determination and class have inspired me and Ronaldo, the phenomenon, had football in his destiny.”

I m not worried one bit feels like we d need to force him out in order for him to leave, pretty sure the dude does not want to go back to EPL where they treated him like shit at least when ever he was in a big team I also doubt they offer him enough money for him to change mind.

That being said i dont buy his i was an interista from the get go we might have been his second team but before joining us he always said he was a chelsea fan, since he loved Drogba.

As a kid he used to talk about Ronaldo a lot actually. And then the Adriano stuff emerged. It's possible.

I feel he falls into that category of having a favourite English team and Italian team and Spanish team etc. It’s quite possible.

Maybe MOTM for me, not for the goal, but his defense on their corners, well done.
