Look at how cute he is with his off the ball movement.

1ZfQ7UQ.png

First of all, terrible positioning and bad run at the wrong lane.

Second, he's asking for a pass when there's no chance of receiving one and he's in no direct line towards one. Lautaro has to stop, step over the ball, and look for Lukaku to his right and then we have to hope that the 3rd defender doesn't close in on him, which of course he'll do, who are we kidding here?

Third, all of this can be seen by how the loose defender is covering both Lukaku and Lautaro's shot/path in case he surpasses his marker. Lukaku is not only being useless for himself here, he's also causing Lautaro more problems to finish off the chance. Lukaku is simply positioned in a hopeful position that the ball squirms to him somehow either by a loose deflection or by a goalkeeper parry.

Where he should have been? Run wider, towards the 2nd post, attracting a defender. But no, he has to ask for a heeled lobbed curved pass there...

This is just a small sample of how bad his awareness is. He really is... just a poacher.

He shoud just stop running and wait for return pass to his left leg and bang it to the top right corner just like 86 mil player would do .

I find it amazing how such an obvious physical beast somehow manages to come of second best so much in physical battles.

Lack of Technique & awareness.

Also you could be big but not strong.

Challenge. Can you name me any team that would buy Lukaku at the end of the season? Let's imagine the cost would be below 50m. Obviously they have to also afford his wages.

Only scenario I can think of is Chelsea somehow managing to reach CL.

I’m surprised he didn’t put his body on the line more today. I mean I know you’re not a back to goal striker we get it but even Lautaro went harder into 50/50s.

Yeah barella went up towards the end and won a decking header. Where as this plank of shit couldn't do it all game. I'm not even disappointed though because I have zero expectations for him

Icardi never played this shit. I understand he's not good in the aerial duels but cmon dude, he looked like he didn't give a fuck. Show some passion at least.

Expect much better from him.

Yes Icardi did play this shit on many occasions when he wasn’t feigning a knee injury

His first touch truly is horrendous. At the start of the second half someone played him in on what should have been an easy shot attempt that instead turned into a one-touch redirect to Asamoah.

Yea the biggest frustration with this guy is that visually we perceive him to have size, strength, finishing ability, physicality, but in reality he hasn't shown any of it at all yet. He's losing aerial battles, not challenging enough. I can live with that terrible first touch, if he shows us some fight in him...

I haven't given up on him yet..all he needs to do is bounce back against Milan and everyone should/will forgive him for now..until he fucks up again of course.

Man., The entire team playing like sh*t. We lost midfield battle. Lukaku should be replace by Barella in the 2nd half.

Man Utd. fans:

They were laughing and calling us dumbasses before when we were linked to him.
They were laughing and calling us dumbasses before when we signed him.
They are laughing and calling us dumbasses right now.
They will be laughing and calling us dumbasses until the end of time.

They spent a shit ton of money on a flop and we ensured they incurred minimal losses. I don't know what you expect Man U fans to do? Miss Lukaku?

Like my co-worker who is a Man U fan told me when we signed him, he's our problem now.

Daley blind was one of the most physically weak player to play as CB for ManUtd but he handled Lukaku without any problem when we played against Everton. This was also the issue when he was at ManUtd. He wasn't aggressive for a player of his size and strength. In very few games he did, defenders couldn't cope with him, it was only in few games and he was back to his normal self.

So it's more of his choice on how much he wants to battle physically on the field? does he do the same with Belgium?

In the Belgium NT he has 3 amazing players that constantly provide him with passes for easy chances and even then he misses some absolute sitters or does stupid things cause of his poor first touch. He's just not that good. As for his amazing goal scoring record in England and for the National Team if you take a closer look at the teams he's faced it starts to dawn on you that he's nothing more than a flat-track bully. :eek:blivious:

A) Hype.
B) Fetish.

He once was a great talent but never panned out. His playing expiry is not far off.

I warned you about Lukaku being overweight, slow and losing physical and aerial battles before we got him, but a lot of people bashed me, they believed he is a physical beast who is "all muscle", strong, quick and can bully defenders. I watched him at Man Utd and he was losing most physical battles already, it's nothing new. I honestly wished I was wrong about him, but it seems I'm not :D His fanboys will find some excuses anyway.
