and, imho, when united have taken those sorts of scale of risks in recent years, few of them have worked out either

Like... Pogba, Martial, Sancho, Antony, even Bruno fernandes last season, Maguire, etc. A lot of them havent lived up to their price tags.

That is why amongst coaches in rich clubs, I give props to Pep Guardiola, because his teams at least win leagues, the players he gets are usually worth it.

Hilarious that the British supporters who always spam "Nah it's only Serie A" when their players performing well here, are hailing Amrabat as their best deal ever with "cheap" 25m. In fact he is Serie A midtable at best

Obviously they only watched the national games.

I always liked Amrabat, but PL fans are deluded.

They are lucky to play in Serie A, top4 is guaranteed, but overall that isn't a top2 squad to me.

This isn't the same type of planning they had when Maldini was here. I really like their defence tho, it's gonna get even better since Thiaw and Theo are young

Interesting that Napoli has not made a single signing. I guess they were the best team last year so may not need too many reinforcements. They did lose Kim, as well as some depth in midfield (Ndombele).

Also Lazio hasn't done much apart from selling their best midfielder. Sarri must be happy when there's CL and everything on top of the Serie A campaign.

Yup - given there is CL, I think Lazio really need to improve their squad/depth. I think they signed a forward that was in La Liga recently from an MLS team, who is supposedly talented.

Their midfield, without Sergej, seems very average though. Luis Alberto seems to have arguments with Sarri or the board every year and then they have Vecino, Cataldi, Basic, and Marcos Antonio.

They did want Zielinski, but seems he'll stay at Napoli.

If only Sensi wasn't so injury prone - he seems the type of player Sarri would like.

Napoli are working on extending Zelinski :D and are negotiating for Kevin Danso.

Official: Besiktas signed Rebic from Milan
the Turkish side agreeing to pay around €2m total for the 29-year-old, a €500,000 fee with €1.5m in add-ons.
Yet another fantastic transfer fee by the Turks! Respect.

Di Marzio: Cagliari have opened talks with Jerry Mina and have now submitted a contract offer to the defender, who is currently a free agent after his contract with Everton drew to a close at the start of this month. Talks between the Rossoblu and the 28-year-old have been positive, and he is now seriously considering their proposal.
Meanwhile Inter are waiting for the contract of Tiago Djaló to expire [2024]? 🤭

Jubentus have agreed a unique deal with Valencia for talented defender Facundo Gonzalez and have already set up a plan for the 20-year-old
The Uruguayan centre back shined at the Under-20 World Cup, impressing director Cristiano Giuntoli, who’d been following the defender for some time beforehand.

Juventus opened talks with Valencia a few weeks ago and have now agreed an interesting deal with the Spanish side, which’ll see them not pay any fee for Gonzalez.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Juventus will sign Gonzalez on a free transfer, but will include a series of add-ons totally around €3-4m, as well as including a 20% future resale clause and a right of first refusal.

The Bianconeri’s plan is to immediately loan out the 20-year-old defender to a Serie A side in order to gain experience and an understanding of life in the Italian topflight. Genoa and Hellas Verona are both keen, as are Serie B side Sampdoria.
Giuntoli could not w8 to get his hands dirty! Now let`s see if he manages to land Kessié.

its Yerry Mina.... hope they aren't getting scammed by a random guy :). Yerry would walk into our starting line up and be a boss and is free. Issue with him is he is his knees are made out of paper. Would prefer he go to Bologna and start with John Lucumi but he might be going to Napoli.

The current contract of Facundo González expires in 2024 and he holds an italian passport, so juBentus probably told Valencia they can get something out of it or they will lose him for free.

EDIT: Bologna are said to be considering an offer from Fenerbahce for striker Musa Barrow that is worth circa €7m.
