No. It's Inzaghi's fault we were getting dominated by Lazio during the entire first half and there was zero reaction from the team after 2-1. It's Inzaghi's fault we had the best defence last season and this season we can't keep a clean sheet.

Btw our penalty was also out of nowhere. It's not like we did anything in first half to deserve the lead.
I disagree, I think we played really good at first half. Something I did realise was that Inzaghi have no intention of controlling a game, everything is about attacking 🤷‍♂️

In 2020, we lost against Lazio in much the same way: score in the first half, then penalty by Immobile and goal by SMS (we also drew away last season, again by going in the lead and then conceding, again to SMS; that fucker hates us). Conte wasn't some infallible God of mentality, and calling for Inzaghi's head after our first defeat in Serie A is a bit premature.

Because Dimarco was down, play acting or whatever he was doing. Counters are always dangerous and we were going for the win, thats why we need a DMF to control games in the defensive phase but we don't have that.
Dimarco can lay down there forever but unless the ref doesn't call for stopping, players should focus on playing. de Vrij should have marked Anderson tightly, because there were 2 players dealing with Immobile already. And when Handa parried the ball to his front De Vrij was supposed to be there to back him up.

It definitely is but our performances have been very concerning. We've been convincing in maybe 3 matches tops. The rest has been dogshit scraping through.

Please check last season fixtures.
We only fucking Conceded 3 goals in Serie A against Fiorentina with KOLAROV as LCB.

How about now?
Inzaghi doesn't know how to defense. Everybody know defense wins the title.
I don't need beautifull football, but lose. I don't care boring football counter attack, as long we got the title.

I would say Inzaghi needs to kick more ass but I can't put all the goals on him. look Inzaghi doesn't have a wrecking ball in Lukaku or speed merchant in Hakimi to keep opponents honest. He's giving players more freedom to express themselves to create goal scoring chances, Conte would never dream of that. Inzaghi needs to work harder to find the right balance but it's difficult when you have the midfilders we have and the lack of depth in defence.

Btw our penalty was also out of nowhere. It's not like we did anything in first half to deserve the lead.
never said we deserved the lead. Lazio players are better suited to Sarri-ball than Inter players to Inzaghi-ball. How do you suggest we change that?

Ок, but back then, Lazio was a much stronger team than today. They are trash this season, and we should have easily beaten them. Bologna and Milan did it with ease, but Inter conceded 3 goals instead.

Great, now post in DeFry thread. He's been bullshit this season. Smh

This. i find this to be his major fault. The players also. They lack composure.

You know why?
Because our team doesn't have Eriksen.

Last year Eriksen know how to control tempo with Brozovic.
Now we had who? Hakan ?
It's too bad our midfield with Gagliardini or Vecino who doesn't know how to become playmaker.

I don't disagree, but we were also much stronger then. I think our gameplan today was working very well until the unfortunate penalty, then everyone lost their minds when they took the lead.

Brozovic was great but our left side was getting destroyed in first half by Felipe Anderson.

With the basic rule of coaching. The coach needs to adjust to the players he has at his disposal.

Nothing surprising really. Now it’s up to him to address the challenges as they come or else we might as well start a replacement coach search right now.

Don't have one.
He doesn't even need to change that much, just try to be more conservative and patient. But again, I think even that can just slightly improve us. We are maybe fucked beyond repair, at least in terms of our title hopes.

i disagree. i believe that you underrate our performance too much. we were okay until 70th minutes. despite being unable to control the game, i think Inzaghi didnt do poorly until their second goal.

after a rather unconvincing mercato, i will be patient on Inzaghi at least until we complete our CL group stage and 18th serie A fixture. i realize that he has not been impressive so far but i will preserve my optimism. not to win the scudetto but to fight for it as far as possible.

we must not forget that there is still 30 matches left.

btw, from the latest interview Inzaghi thinks that the ref should intervene on Lazio's second goal. he said Lautaro didnt see or know what happened to Dimarco.

IMO that's not relevant, team should have shouted to him that Dimarco got injured. Obviously the team didn't because they wanted to see what Lautaro can do with the ball. Issue is it goes both ways, no way Lazio is going to put the ball out after that.

This. Just continue playing 3-5-2 with same players until things get automated. No need to come up with different formations each time

To early to get a new coach and still pay his salary. Handa, Skriniar and De Vrij need to tell him how the defense should be playing. As for losing Hakimi and Lukaku he probably was as surprised as us, so he can't be blamed for that nor the tragic injury to Eriksen. The replacements for them have, so far, have been in total so-so at best.

Sunning put everything in to win now attitude with Conte and Co. Then the Covid-19, changes in direction and economics in China happened, and football in general maybe at a cross roads. Inzaghi may not be the answer but we probably need to stay pat for now until he's outta contract. Besides only 1 loss.....

I agree with that. The ref should have intervened after watching Dimarco stay down for way too long. I don't expect from Lazio players to stop when they can take advantage of the situation.

100% agreed. But what would you adjust/change? I wouldn't know what to do with this squad on playstation.....Dzeko is too slow and useless as a hold up player, our midfield is short-handed with the headless vecino, G5 and Hakan running around, our wings are not good enough, our CBs are too slow and easily exposed on counters, we don't have a DMF, 90% of our players are mentally weak (case in point the 3rd goal).

What do you think Inzaghi can do to remedy all this?
