Always looks like he's so keen to be the middle of the 3 cbs. I've noticed this a few times with him. Here he almost looks like he's rushing back to be the middle CB.
Girouds goal he let's giroud peel off him so he can hold his position.
Even back to arnautovic goal last season at bologna, he won't leave the middle to pick him up.

I wonder if it's instruction, or maybe he doesn't want to be on the flank, or what it is. But since inzaghi has come in de vrij has went into the shitter, after being a league mvp with conte.

From best Serie A defender to Acerbi's backup, his decline is fucking unbelievable. And he doesn't even have any major injury. He's only 30 so age is not an excuse either.

I remember he was at least decent when he played in Spaletti's back 4 (his first season here), although it wasn't as good as Conte's back 3. Right now, his performance is just unacceptable.
