It really looks like we were abandoned by the real deal connections (suning and zhang sr) and were left to zhang jr, who probably doesn't have any pull except that he can say he is a son of a big boss, who in turn is probably scared shitless of his big boss aka Winnie the pooh.

If it's just investment and money we would have been sold long time ago. As i v said a million times, this is about daddy zhang giving his son something to do in life, mainly relevance and spotlight.

Cardinale was in New York. He didn't go to Saudi Arabia.
