Well, the point of that is it all comes back to the market. I think another wave of lockdowns wouldnt be entirely surprising atm, and if so, expect at least a correction. Personally I've held through all the corrections anyway, so I'm not fussed about it, but I do think markets seem a bit overly optimistic (barring the correction on tuesday?)

Magna bought out Veoneer (VNE) to add in their autonomous driving portfolio, VNE stock rose by 50% premarket. Is Magna really gonna make Apple car as rumoured? Someone here mentioned Magna not too long ago, was it pimpin or adriano?

Don't know if anyone else mentioned Magna. Been a holder since early February, bought at around $71 iirc.
Kept it despite cries to sell it after it peaked in early June.

Probably will keep holding.

Pretty sure i mentioned them a couple of times...
Would not bet on them producing the apple car as we simply dont know very much about that project...
Thing is it would make a lot of sense Magna has everything needed to produce that car and can do what ever apple cant do inhouse. Plus they have the production facilities ready and running so time to market would be alot shorter. Imho the branding would also be easier if magna produces the car than if any established consumer facing brand brand does it(ford).
To me Magna is attractive even if they dont produce the apple car as they are not trading at the crayze multiples most of the EV producers trade at even though in many cases they have more experience then said EV companies in producing EVs just look at their fisker deal.
Imo their gonna be the go to for all OEMs who dont want to or cannot produce/develop their own ADAS and EVs platforms wether thats just temporary till OEMs scaled up production or till capacity becomes available in their ICE factories is another story.
I look at it like i looked at VW back when they were trading at 150-160 an EV play that trades at a decent multiples is profitable and which somehow the EV hype has not reached yet. Plus it is very well maaged...
I look at the possibility of the apple car more as a free option cause while the price has risen since that rumor started to make the rounds i think the core business can sustain todays valuation with or without the apple car. That being said if apple announces that they go with a different manufacturer or that they do it in house the price will suffer for a bit.

Also considering SoFi as a hipster pick.

Recently got into Affirm Holdings ($AFRM) and Ultra Clean Holdings ($UCTT), remarkably exactly at the bottom for the month for both. Got into Cleveland Fields ($CLF) as well.

Waiting for another Oil crash to get back into the mix. Already got positions with $SLB and $HAL, even if they may dip further, will just buy more.

Looking for opportunities in this market is quite hard. Got into SNAP last night just because I wanted to gamble, it paid off. I pity anyone who tried to pull that off with Boston Beer ($SAM). Also gambled with Chamath's Clover as I think something really weird is going on with $CLOVW. Got into $CLOV expecting it to rise by 50% over the next month. For the laughs, I also got into some of his other ventures ($IPOF and $IPOD).
Also got a very small position with Nokia, hoping that it will take off at some point.

As of late, mostly reinforced some positions on Disney, Boeing, Airbnb, Teladoc and Square to drop the average a bit. It feels more like gambling than investing now. I don't even wanna put money on an index fund now as I think there'll be a much better opportunity within the next 18 months.

it has an online security unit that is growing at 30% yoy, and is on pace for +1.2-1.5 bn dollars this year revenue. 20 bn market cap, lower than 20 times sales on the online security unit alone.

It's on my radar but I think its price may drop again eventually. But if it keeps trending upwards like this maybe the drop won't be higher than the current one. Anyway, we know all about your AKAMfetish

Bought them at 10 on the ipo sold all of it along the way first at 24 then at 32...... I think on the short run any entrance under 20 is a good buy...
Problem for me with palantir is their valuation is sky high as in similar to snow i think their a great company and well run but Valuations seems absurd so the risk/reward ratio does not seem right. Might be a multi bagger though on the long run if they execute....

Even after yesterdays run up still think FB has one of the best risk/reward profiles out there.

Would not touch sofi personally but your right theres alot of hype around it so it might work out.
Would not touch clover with a 10 foot pole neither would i touch most of chamaths other ventures. IMHO mostly overvalued crap that fully depends on chamath pumping/hyping them (could still work though). Only thing scamath is involved that i m considering is DM around 8$... Yes i know they also seem grossly overvalued...

Also still think CWH is gonna have another monster Q.

Like brehme said avoid or at least try to avoid especially ADRs, sure there are great companies there but Transperency is very low unless you speak chinese and the CCP might intervene any moment and destroy your investment.

On the education holdings i m not to familiar with EDU but i was short GOTU(GSX) for some time now and that was such an obvious fraud i d not be surprised if the CCP forces the whole sector to go non profit.

Also on the whole thing of chinese stocks watch the china hustle on netflix if your intrested, to see how many frauds there are and why many avoide chinese ADRs.

FB with another great Q beats across the board except for Maus and daus...
SP down in AH though best guess would be because of weak guidance no worries though as i fully expect them to beat guidance once again in Q3 as they always do.

In other news shell also with a neat beat they increased dividend again and will start a 2bio buyback program.
