MILAN – Today, Friday 1 July, the new football season has officially begun. Inter's new season has opened with the full transfer of Yuto Nagatomo, who will be 25 on 12 September next. His contract was bought out from Cesena and he has joined the club after his thrilling first six months in a Nerazzurri shirt, when he made 19 appearances in the league, the Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Champions League, scoring twice. As part of the deal, Cesena obtained joint ownership of defender Luca Caldirola (class of 1990, who spent last season on loan at SBV Vitesse in Holland after joining Inter at the age of 8) and striker Luca Garritano (class of 1994, who has been part of the Inter youth section since he was 14, playing for the Allievi Nazionali [Under-17s] last season). Both Caldirola and Garritano, who are respectively Under-21 and Under-17 internationals, will be available to Inter; the defender for the first team squad and the forward for the Primavera team
