I’ve probably seen Carboni play only a few times in my life. But I genuinely want to know, why are we not even considering keeping him as the fifth forward?

He seems to have a good physical build and has characteristics that the other 4 don’t have. Am i missing something?

Maybe someone who’s watched him extensively can tell me. But I went and watched a youtube video just now of him against costa rica and the one thing that stood out was how Direct he was. It seems like he was willing to take his man on each time. He was also good at holding up the ball.

If carboni returns, he will be used as a bench option and maybe not even as a first choice bench option, that's the problem. You can name all his qualities and how talented he is all you want but in a team that fights for trophies on all fronts and when crunch time comes, inazghi is picking arna and taremi ahead of him nine times out of ten. We tried that shit with pinamonti as fifth man when conte was here, and pinamonti basically lost a year for nothing.

There are two options for carboni imo, he either gets sold (with some favorable buyback option hopefully) to finance our mercato, highly likely btw, or he gets sent on another loan. Really doubt inzaghi leaves him in a first team, it will not particularly benefit us and especially him.

Inzaghi ain't playing no 19 year old... Pretty sure the kid is getting sold, if the money is needed.

Because Inter, since when have we started given our talent and actual chance… We rather sell them for cash or as bargain chip and then seeing them eventually end up in Juve, Milan and Roma, then actually develop them ourselves. At the very best we sell them on and when they are 25-30 we buy them back that’s out policy been that way for decades

The only way that is changing is if Oaktree forces us to change, otherwise you stand bigger chance winning the lottery

Pina was actually 4th and Conte still didn't play him.

I followed Carboni a lot this season, his physicality still ain't a match with the full grown guys tbh, but it is pretty good for an 18 year old kid.
The potential is immense and obvious, the maturity of his play is way beyond a regular 18 year old kid, basically where to show up, when to take on his man, one touch to avoid physical duels etc.

He might seem to be lacking pace/acceleration, but even that is not 100% clear to me that is the case, and if so will that truly hinder his play.

With all that said, he is still not a refined product to start at Inter, given how youngsters are treated here, I personally would say if he gets to play at Fiorentina for 1 more year, he might be ready to come back.

I just dont want him to Fiorentina without a No Juve clause or a buy back. I can see him in a few years scoring 15-20 goals and Juve getting him for half what Fiorentina paid for him

Really hope they listen to him, ausilio was pretty adamant in the past when talking about the fifth striker. With a fifth striker, even arna staying isn't that big of an offense. Just avoid the situation where your first bench option is an injury prone player.

Thuram
We need a real 3rd striker who is gonna play minutes almost as many as Lauti and Thuram. Even having 6 strikers who are not play regularly is not helping.
We need at least one another striker who is reliable and is given proper minutes to be in form.
