I would welcome him back in a second. This guy works with confidence, when he is confident with a defensive line he knows he can rely on, he is elite.
This is not Onana, this is whatever the Manchester United curse did to him.

Man U is a circus. everyone is awaiting to put the blame on a player! no body can work on a heavy pressure.
This is a sick club and there are toxic atmosphere among players and staff.

Hope we can get him back on free in 1/2 seasons later!

Don't have one.

Same... He needs confidence and solid system to keep him in check imo and in that scenario he is a great keeper. Once he doesn't have that, all his bad habits resurface. Unfortunately for him, he is that type of keeper.

Yeah. And to be honest, he might struggle to recover from this. Mentally and reputationally.

I honestly don't know if I'd take a gamble on him coming back as a number 1 right now the confidence is fucked

Tbf, he has been playing good enough in EPL in the last month. CL is cursed for him this season

Poor guy. Hopefully he recovers from all this. Gotta admit that he's commited quite a few brainfarts but I blame the toxic environment more than anything else. It's such a stressful situation which can affect mental state of player. He's certainly not as bad as things went so far.

Yeah, as elite as Sommer is right now. He is a great ball distributor, world class even, and very good on the line, but has enough flaws. To me he is not elite, but good international level. What made him look elite last season was that we’ve played his strength and minimized his weaknesses with a stable system around him.

Just crazy how far he's fallen so quickly from the end of last season.

Sad, in a way, sure some of it's entirely his fault, but I suspect that ManU's defense has a lot to due with it. Seria A is different as an Inter setup is different as well. ManU needs to change to make adjustments for him to shine. Ot course that means I m suppose to care about ManU, which I don't.

A part of me wants to rescue him, but we already did it once and I don’t know if he will come back easily from this Manure nightmare. He is still young in goalkeeper years though, he can make a comeback.

Watched, for the first time, in years, part of the second half of the Newcastle vs ManU match. I generally run to avoid seeing ManU play. Newcastle won 1-0 and it wasn't Onana fault. ManU has no leader, lacks heart and the defense is bad. Onana's long kicks out are ineffective cause ManU does not have "big man" who can hold up play to make it work. Inter even with Dzeko or Lukaku that ploy was at best a 40% success rate. The announcers were moaning about ManU and only grudgingly gave Newcastle props. So life is good.

Man U midfield was non existent yesterday. Their defenders also made errors in the transition. Actually, the goal came exactly after a mistake during transition.
Bruno may fit well in our system. I've recently read that they considering to offload him most probably, but he will be too expensive I guess.
