And Correa gets shat on because he's a wannabe Asian

If anything, the opposite appears to be true. Some people will always defend certain player due to their ethnicity and don't accept any criticism towards them.
Crying "race" is too easy but cannot blame them since it seems to be working where they live.

Players who get the most shit on FIF are:
Gagliardini
Lautaro
Correa
Dumfries
Dzeko
Handanovic

Don't think there's any pattern really.
All those non-black players in the list must have a black ancestor somewhere in their family tree. That's the only thing which makes people to criticize them. It must be the only explanation.

Maybe they are black down there.

Onana is good, but not that (omg wtf pls don't sell him in the beginning of the mercato or ever) good.

~60m is good enough for any goalkeeper, especially for someone that screwed his national team chances forever.

Might be unpopular opinion, but it's what I think.

55mil is very good for one season after a free transfer.

I'm just sure that we would get 80mil for him if we could wait one more year.

But what I am most afraid of is that the next GK won't be nowhere close to Onana in distribution and shot stopping.
And commanding the area, opponents freekick wall setups. A general calm authority that will scream at Acerbi if he's half meter off the wall. And this is only that part. The biggest part is losing a WC sweeper in him.

A 21year old that can't speak italian with italian defense? Naah. Will be a sub 2-3 months until Handa will teach him .

Does anyone remember the Udinese v. Inter match back in September? How the team failed to deal with Udinese’s high press throughout the game. ( For reference, Acerbi, bastoni and Skriniar formed the back 3).

For small sample of the game, see minutes 7,8.5,9, 12(bastoni yellow caught with ball), 13.5( again team was incapable of building from the back), 14.50, 17.50(handa is now resorting to launching the ball).

Main difference between that match in September and June where Inter is playing Man city, was for me, Onana.

This is bullshit.

Where the fuck was trubin when Onana literally had one of the best campaigns in Champions League history in terms of shots saved?

One fluke Candreva goal and suddenly you guys use that as permanent ammunition for Onana not being good at crosses.
Nah it wasn't that incident, he in general has poor judgement on the cross balls, he got better in the second half a bit braver to step out of his spot to contend, but still the decision is questionable.

Most of us like Onana, I think we are just pointing out his pros and cons.

Despite his "flaws", I mean as of today how many goalkeepers are better or on par with him though? Like I would say he is even better than Allison, Ederson, Neuer, Courtois or at least more less the same, ironically I do think Maignan is a better shot stopper, but again the moment you consider the extra player playing possession and build from the back Maignan is not even a contender anymore.

But just looking at Turbin's highlights, it does look like he can surpass Onana or be in the same league by no time.

The way you describe him is that if someone didn't know that Onana is our GK, would think you're talking about someone like Pirlo.

It's a goalie. Chill and let us take the money :D

agreed 50 + m for a GK is amazing. Especially since we got him for free and he was a starter for a little over half the season. 1 thing that can make him a bit more expensive is he never playing on his NT again haha.

I am not unhappy we are selling him. I just hate that we are selling him to bring in 3 random GKs + Lukaku for him.

But your spending 1/3 of the money on another keeper, who may flop(risk factor).

The only explanation I have for the mere 55M valuation is that now Inter is the Sassuolo of EPL clubs. Because if Onana was at Leicester City, his price would be 20M higher.

article from 2023

Most expensive goalie transfer
1. Kepa - 80m
2. Allison - 62m
3. Buffon - 53m (22 years ago !!!!)
4. Ederson - 40 m
5. Cillesen - 35m
6. Courtois - 30m

So....... still be short changed for a player who started for 6 months? You guys seriously taking your Skriniar, Brozo feelings into this transfer.

Fine #1 and 5 are garbage. The other 4 are world class had had been for way longer than 1 fairytale champions league run

I wouldn’t buy too much into that.

For example Donnarumma could have been sold for 40-50M€ if AC sold him the year before his contract expired.

still a much younger goalie who had started for a much longer time. Donnarumma is a pretty much a freak occurrence. Even then he would still be going for less than Onana. + Onana was free !! That would be some of the best deals we have ever done. You guys are crazy if you think we are getting 70-80m for this dude. Also the fact the would even consider going to Man U

Take the fking money !! Just don't use it on Lukaku

As far back as I can remember (Pagliuca) we've always had excellent goalkeepers. I like Onana, but I'm pretty confident that we can find a suitable replacement.

how was Sebastian Frey beside that derby match? I know he is a top GK when in Parma and Fiorentina.

Fair point. Not a lot of appearances, but he definitely didn't live up to the high hopes at the time. Something of a transition player.

No Milan player
man utd paid 65 mill for casemiro who is 30 years old and only played defensive midfielder. that was when real madrid just bought tchoumeni for 100mill and in position not depending on casemiro mainly anymore

and we are supposed to be satisfied with selling onana to the same team who is critical to our team, without a ready replacement and still aged 27 yrs old at 55mill?

nah..marrota just s*cks at transfer negotiation!!!
those that agree that 55mill is good value s*cks too!!

we can do better than this
