Inter's small budget project for next season would fit Motta nicely. he is willing to work with the available resources. but if we want to build his squad we must be smarter in signing free agent players. we need to go all out for Firmino and Thuram and offload all those useless players. both can play as wide forward

----Lautaro---

--Thuram---Firmino--

--Hakan---Brozovic---Barella

-Gosens--Bastoni---Acerbi--Dumfries-

I like what I see so far from Thiago Mott’s. He has the brain and tactical ability to make something out of these clowns. Plus he won’t be expensive. Unless Klopp is available and willing to join, we should look at Motta.

I watched the first half of Lazio-Bologna and it was quite impressive. I mean, how courageously Bologna build from the back. Just like we do, even more. Insistenly played with short passes to get themselves out of the pressing. Player movement is the key obviously.

Kudos to Motta and his results.

We can afford Mou?
He currently earns a base salary of €4 million, it raises to €7 million if he achieves certain objectives.

Klopp and Tuchel would never join a shitshow like us and even for Thiago Motta it is a risky move. If he fails here under our difficult circumstances, he can ruin his coaching career like Pirlo at Juve or Seedorf at Milan

Yes, but this is his chance to lead a big club. He needs to prove himself in difficult situation, if he wants to make a name as a coach.

Who knows, man. We paid Conte 7M to go away. Clearly there's some money out there for managers.
We had also offered 7m to Allegri in that summer so there's clearly some money for managers. Also Inzaghi isn't exactly cheap. Only Allegri and Mourinho in Serie A earn more than Inzaghi who's at 5.5m net.

For managers like Mourinho, Tuchel or even Klopp salary isn't the biggest issue. For example Klopp earns 8m net. In theory you could afford it. The real issue is the project you're offering. If you tell them they will lose their best players every summer, they won't have the money to replace them and they also have to fight for titles then they won't even bother.

Since Marotta only looks at Serie A i believe our realistic options are two: Juric, if we want to stick with a back 3, and Motta, if we want to move to a back 4.

I am quite certain they will go for Motta. Biasin has leaked early he's management choice to replace Inzaghi. He's cheap, he has Serie A experience, he doesn't have the status as a coach to make demands to management. He's perfect for both Suning and Marotta.

Motta is an interesting choice. He did a decent job at Spezia and he has impressed at Bologna with a side that fought to avoid relegation till last season. But he has never worked under pressure, he mostly plays with 4-2-3-1 which would require squad changes and he has never really been tested in demanding dressing rooms. Interisting gamble but a gamble nonetheless. It can go either way. But in our current project i am afraid we can only go for gambles.

P.S.: If Conte ends up at Juve i wouldn't be surprised if Marotta goes for Allegri.

His agent has hinted Motta would jump at the chance of coaching Inter. And why wouldn't he? Even in our current state Inter is a golden chance for Motta. The next logical step for him would be a club like Fiorentina, Atalanta or best case Lazio.

Motta doesn't strike me as a marotta signing though. Too much uncertainty and risk.

Personally, I'd give it 6 months before thiago becomes thiagone

Conte was an even bigger risk when he hired him at Juventus. Two promotions to Serie A with Bari and Siena and a terrible stint at Atalanta in Serie A.

I agree this kind of coaches rarely suceed at Inter.

Conte was mostly Agnelli's hire after rejecting him twice in earlier years.

Marotta back then wanted one of Gasperini and Spalletti but neither would go at the time. Gasperini ended up at Inter and we all know how it ended up.
