@Candreva Crosses it's an MSI but don't remember which model. And it gets too hot, it was part of the reviews so probably not the one you're talking about. Mine was like the 3rd most expensive option from MSI from the list I had to pick from, but there probably are more models.
MSI looks so goooooood. Maybe I'll just save up for a MSI but I don't know if my brain would let me spend that on a computer.

Btw, how old is your MSI and is it still working good?

EDIT: Or maybe I go full support of Inter and buy a Lenovo Legion? 😂

Not even a year old. It's excellent thus far, apart from the overheat issues (I exaggerate multitasking so partly my fault) but since I got the cooling pad it doesn't care about that either.

But not a huge gamer myself, it gets pretty hot with most games, but since I don't have it on me it's not a great issue. Not sure if there are more demanding games out there but my machine is quite strong, graphics card is not the newest but the 2nd best and it doesn't cause issues.

Main issue is that I cannot play my older games for XP :(

Wanted to replay Battle for Middle Earth 2 and a few others.
I can play Red Alert 2 though.

Let's not share misconceptions about Steam Deck.

Steam Deck is a portable PC / handheld PC. You can install Windows on it and portals like GOG, Epic Games, ... you can do whatever you want with it. Suddenly Switch and it's pricey games don't look like a good idea. Gabe alluded that if you want to use emulators on it, they can't stop you, what you do with Steam Deck is your choice.

The only major problem at the moment is that they have to check EVERY software to see if it works like it should. Apparently Prey is bugged and a mouse cursor shows in the middle of the screen, some sports games don't have responsive controls and are unplayable. A lot of work for Valve, still.

I'm not ordering it until I get a list of games that they don't recommend  so far it happened with every Handheld PC and Valve will have to go full genius mode for it to not happen again.

Today I finished A Plague Tale: Innocence on PS5. Brilliant game, the last chapter was needlessy hard because of weird autoaim (in one segment!!), but other than that it was great.

It's not due for at least 1 year, add on delays etc. I'm saving every month so I don't notice the money coming out and I am going to enjoy every moment of it.

I bought a Switch a few months back just to play Zelda BOTW. I hadn't played any of the other games and I was not familiar with the lore.

It was okay, but also kind of repetitive, and I wasn't in to the character design. The gameplay was fantastic though.

So having finished that in a few weeks I just sort of put the Switch away. Then I was recommended Dead Cells, and THAT is a fun game. I think I've done close to 1000 runs, which indicates the infatuation, addiction even, I had to the game. I completed the game, and now the Switch is back in the drawer.

I've been playing BOTW since April, not even close to finishing it, only one divine beast done. GG in finishing it so quickly.

After Dead Cells I also recommend Hades, and if you're gonna entertain guests, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Oh yeah, Hades was what turned me on the roguelite genre. Fantastic game.

I'm more of a Crash Team Racing kind of guy, which I played a lot on my playstation 4 when it came out.

I'm trying to remember any other good rogue-lite games, Shovel Knight maybe, don't know if it's on Switch?

I'm looking forward to Naraka Bladepoint in a few hours. I really enjoyed the open beta.

Decided it was time to play on my PS4 after degrading it to a dust catcher. Started The Witcher 3, a game that I love, and completed what was probably the most boring main story mission. Quit immediately afterwards and looked up on the internet how far I’ve gotten into the main quest. Noticed that I just played the first mission of the second act, which means I’ve only completed roughly one third. I remember looking up my total playing time the 2nd last time I played, which must be around half a year ago. Iirc it was around 45h or so, including a ton of side quests.

Just to clarify: I’m not complaining about the insane amount of content this game has but, I’m not even certain if I’ll ever be able to complete such a big game (even though I’m certainly a better big game player than Lukaku ever was). As you’ve probably noticed, I’m not much of a gamer these days. I can play a game for like 2-3h a day, for 2 weeks straight. That means I’m either able to complete a game in those 2 weeks, or I’ll just leave it be and come back a few months later.

My girl still haven't completed the main quest in Witcher 3 and now her laptop is already slowing down so the game can be unplayable at times. She'll probably continue the game when we get the Steam Deck.

The Witcher 3 has content for 200 hours and probably only about 10% is not exciting. Truly game of the decade, I still like it lots more than Zelda: Botw

It gets better and better, especially when you also start both of the add-on campaigns
