Are Barella, Arnautović and Bastoni also not playing for Inter anymore?

Maybe. It's possible.

But he'll play probably against Empoli as well first if Hakan isn't ready

Poor guy is not Inter level. Just loan him somewhere where can play and build a career and hopefully he does well and we get some sale profit.

Meh, not in sync with the rest, he plays too deep causing big hole in middle, plus Arnautovic is abysmal leaving us being exposed to press.

But I want him to start again, he needs to show more then we can have a better assessment.

Lol so many people crying about this guy while Barella/Mkhi were way worse, and Fratessi did absolutely nothing. Even the yellow was soft.

Guy barely misplaces a pass and the biggest complaint was him pointing

Asllani had a chance to prove his worth. Everything was aligned for that - Hakan got injured, a match with relatively less pressure. Your coach is looking for a reason to not play you. Just go and show something. But no, he decides to play as if his place in the starting eleven in safety. We are just sorry Inzaghi may not give him a chance anymore. He bottled it big time.

Real Sociedad’s hard press made it difficult for him to make his signature long passes. The early yellow didn’t help either.

But he MUST start against Empoli. That’s the only way to gain experience. Overall Asllani needs to learn the difference of playing in a CL game. Opponents treat every game as a WC Final. No one will create breathing space for a young player in CL.

You people need to stop moaning about everything. When he doesn’t get played, you moan. When he gets played, you also moan. You think we are in a position to have 11 Messi as backup?

The biggest complaint was that he failed to be an outlet in the middle of the pitch. If our outlet in the centre of the pitch and our outlet up-front fail to do their job, the whole team falls apart.

Brozovic and Hakan are incredible in that role acting as a force multiplier, but having a shit game means everyone around plays much worse and the team can’t generate any fluidity.

He also got himself a dumb yellow, which preventing him from being as aggressive as he needed to be.

He is playing as if afraid to make a fool of himself and ends up doing nothing. No glaring mistakes but doesn’t contribute enough. With that said I think he should play against Empoli and, hopefully, gain some confidence.

Every other midfielder looked worse, so what is your point? Our team just didnt have the pace, positioning or technique to handle the pressing.

I worry about midfielders when they cant complete passes. Hes definitely still good at it.

I already commented on Barella's performance in his thread, he was the worst given his standards. My point is, Asllani I'm afraid showed nothing that could convince a stubborn coach like Inzaghi to play him more often. I'm actually feeling for him

Didn't cover himself in glory today, the stupid yellow didn't help. However, the entire squad in the first half looked abysmal against a fired up Real Soledad. His baptism by fire was disappointing, but against lower tier opponents in Serie A he should still get a start.

The fault of this game lies in this order Arna, Bastoni, Barella
  1. Arna is the reason why we were so dysfunction in the midfield - he seems suprised by the opponents' strength and speed. Didn't even show his normal fighting for duel spirt. There were basically no space for midfield to go through in transitions, they play a high d-line for offside and stack up the midfield space; hence the forward was a key for our transition, he was not functioning in anyway, very different from the past 3 games you saw.
  2. Bastoni was his first ever error that led to goal, so I will just let this one slip, but it is obvious.
  3. Barella quite self-explanatory, as always loses composures, starts running for all the wrong timing and led to bad positions, similar to the last time we lost to Milan, when he saw Brozo scored by running forward, then he starts these wrong runs.

Things I blame Asllani for is he rushed the team into pressing, when we started off right, stalling with the 2 forwards shielding; that changed the momentum for everything, but as senior players, you shouldn't be rushed by a young kid, you are supposed to calm him down and not run with him; also maybe the early yellow.

Blaming Asllani is kinda just targeting the young kids, and blaming others' shakiness due to him is pathetic, think about Pavard and Dumfries; these 2 played a lot with him in the game, he didn't make the players shaky. It was obviously the atmosphere and the shock of the early goal and a fast tempo.

I don't know if Inzaghi intentionally play Real's game, but that would be ultra stupid; we should've treated them like Madrid or Barca; other than that the thoughts of

He was not good today but he should still start the next match imo. Even our more experienced players and leaders looked horrible today. This was probably one of the toughest games to throw him into. He didn't play well, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get other chances.

I know we were smothered and didn't do much today, but this guy should never start in important matches. He'd be fine starting against Empoli and Salernitana. Just seems like he isn't improving at all.
