fact is you said he has "no chance" unless he bulks up. he almost had an assist. could have scored 2 goals. one poor miss with a header, and one good shot on target. and got rated 7 in his first CL start. and more importantly, almost everyone was happy with his performance

Personally I've been really impressed with his performances so far, he really seems to have bags of potential. Apart from that, what impresses me most are his statements to the press in which he always sounds like a down-to-earth kind of guy, innocently impressed with everyday Inter stuff. That is a real refreshment after having Balotelli...

Philippe Coutinho 'Honoured' To Play For Inter

Coutinho is delighted to be playing in such a talented squad and thanked both coach Rafa Benitez and Ivan Cordoba.

Inter starlet Philippe Coutinho has spoken about his time at the club thus far, explaining he is honoured to be among the first-team squad and thanked both Rafael Benitez and Ivan Cordoba.

"I thought it would be difficult to break into the squad, because Inter won everything there was to win last season with some excellent players. But thanks to God, opportunities have been coming my way. I’ve been training hard for this and I hope I can make the most of it," he admitted to FIFA.com.

"I am honoured because this is one of the biggest clubs in Europe where all young players would like to play.

"In addition to Benitez, Cordoba has also helped me a lot during training."

The talented youngster also spoke about his desire to play for Brazil, who are now coached by Mano Menezes. The tactician called up the Nerazzurri player for a recent training camp.

"He’s a great coach, as we’d already seen when he was at Corinthians,” he said.

“He helped me a lot, corrected a few things, and we had a nice, calm atmosphere going. That first session has been very important for my career.”

perika, you don't understand something. Coutinho as winger is much better than Pandev, Pandev as AM or FC is much better than Coutinho (today, but I think that Cou have the potential to be x3 better than Pandev, but for now he is'nt), but we play with just one FC and just one AM, and Pandev is'nt than our FC (Eto'o) and AM (Sneijder).

It dosent matter if Pandev is a Inter player he is playing badly so he will be criticized. I dont care what you say about Coutinho why do you get so upset when someone talks bad about pandev you seem more of a pandev fanboy then an Inter fan.

i personally get upset when someone talks something that is not right for ANY of our players....

anyway, on the wing, atm id start both coutinho and biabiany infront of pandev. Well, it depends on the game though, but they are both more productive than pandev if we continue to play this 4-2-3-1, on the wings, especially coutinho imho, he gives flair out wide, something what neither of our other players have (sneijder a bit maybe)... Playing coutinho gives our team new dimension..

almost same with biabiany, but the problem with him is, that almost all teams in serie a park the bus against us, and he wont have any space to show his speed, and imho would not be usefull at all... And coutinho will, although is small, at least he can give us free kicks lol, and since neither coutinho nor pandev can play 90 minutes atm, they can, and will be rotated..

I understand everyone's eagerness to give the little prospect a chance ASAP but frankly I don't think you should push players that young so hard - he can't be a regular starter for I fear he would burn out. Players of that age should be gradually incorporated into the line-up, being introduced in 60th minute or so, so he wouldn't feel the pressure of playing for Inter - give him a season to get used to all the new things, then make him a starter.

At least that's what I would do.
