Honestly, I wasn't impressed until he meg'ed a Bologna's player before that I thought he's average (still decent for his age though)

At the start he didn't look that comfortable on the ball and just punted it long a couple of times. Seemed to grow with confidence though and definitely had a good game.

Yeah the first half was a complete chicken, especially the opening 20 min or so, but that's normal. Much better and stable in the second half probably due to Frank's talk. I even saw Icardi when they enter the pitch on the second half calling him then making a facial gesture like it's ok, you'll be fine.

i also had the impression, but he grew into the game and was decent for the first time.

He started slowly but improved as the game went on. I think its great that FDB encourages and gives him an opportunity to start. I hated how Mancini would give players their debut and then you would never see them again. And if you did, it was always playing for other teams. It is also nice to have an option or alternative to Santon and Nagatomo.
