Where does this come from? Is it purely due Oristanio? Sounds weird to me. Martinez looked like a done deal.

I have seen it written that Inzaghi preferred Martinez. It will be interesting to see how it works out but if it had been a typical Italian deal that included some young players and not very much hard up front cash, that would have made more sense here.

My guess is still that it was about the money and Inter management didn't want to commit all that money to the GK position. Bento's salary at Al Nassr is 6M net which probably covers the agent fees which Inter would have had to pay if they bought the player.

Not saying Inzaghi's preference didn't play a part here. Probably it did in a sense that Bento was cast aside as an option when it looked it's going to strain our budget more than planned and there was another option available in Martinez with his La Masia background.

I reckon if we were serious, the salary would've been less. I think this should be separated from things.

It's fine, though, maybe Inzaghi has seen something.

Well I said what I said. I'm anti-Martinez because he looked the worst of all these players.
Oh i thought you were referring to the Argentina one, I dislike that one; our current one, I am trying to give him 0.5 - 1 season before I judge

So it wasn't price but choice why we went for Martinez. Hope they got it right
Yepp, the Arabs signed Bento for €18M. Me too!
